Holding the tube, rub the collection sponge inside the animal's nostril for up to 5 seconds. For cattle older than 6 months, ensure the sponge is coated with the nasal sample. Hold the tube upright and remove the cap from the collection container. Turning the cap upside down, place the sponge in the tube and close tightly. Shake the tube vigorously for 5 seconds.
