In this role you will have the opportunity to ensure that DNA Genotek products are in compliance with regulatory requirements for our target markets. You will be responsible for securing, monitoring and tracking product registrations and/or clearance and/or approvals to enable sales of specific products into targeted regions and markets. You will have the opportunity to work with all levels throughout the company and you will be a highly visible member of the broader Operations organization.
Responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the company is compliant with applicable medical device regulations.
- Track/monitor the status of registrations/clearance/approvals of products and by region/market.
- Conduct training of staff related to regulatory matters
- Work with product development and product management teams to provide regulatory input during the product development process.
- Represent the company in written and verbal communications with regulatory authorities, authorized representatives and other external and internal parties.
- Provide leadership in the execution of product and process risk assessments, product classification and labelling decisions.
- Ownership of company processes focused on regulatory matters including Risk Management, Post Market Surveillance and Product Recall & Regulatory Body Notification.
- Maintain records of correspondence related to regulatory topics.
- Receive and direct inbound phone calls as required.
- Other duties deemed appropriate for Business Development Representative.
Education Required:
- A minimum of a B.Sc. (or equivalent) in a relevant area of biological sciences.
- Demonstrated training in regulatory affairs for medical devices.
Experience and Other Requirements:
- Minimum 5-10 years experience in regulatory affairs, specifically with medical devices. In-vitro diagnostics preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of worldwide regulatory processes and requirements.
- Technical skill and familiarity with biotechnology and/or biochemistry is an asset.
- Strong administration, analytical and planning skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development Representative is responsible for sales support processes to aid the Sales department in generating new qualified leads, and lead progression to Stage of Tester.
They comprehend and utilize product features and benefits accompanied with good communication and interpersonal skills to identify and qualify leads, with the ultimate goal of initiating the sales process by supplying test kits to expand and develop an assigned product line or territory sales plan.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop product knowledge sufficient to prospect, identify and qualify potential sales leads.
- Contact prospects through outbound phone calls
- Demonstrate use of telephone interpersonal skills, such as connecting with the customer, building relationships, asking open-ended and high gain questions to determine needs, provide solutions through the use of our products
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of account engagements using the Company's customer relationship management software.
- Utilize multiple data sources to input and organize sales opportunities.
- Input information from a variety of sources into a computer database.
- Assist in campaign planning through lead generation as required.
- Participate in sales and product training, marketing campaigns, and special projects as required.

Education Required:

Account Manager, Livestock Research Market

We hope you are interested in joining our team as we are currently in search of a Sales Account Manager that will support a livestock territory in the research and academic markets.
In this role, you will develop and manage a territory with the goal of maximizing sales. You will have the opportunity to engage with our Research, Academic and Agriculture customers, identify new customers and work closely with the exceptional talent in our sales and marketing team. You will be armed with the required sales and product training, supported by targeted marketing campaigns, and given the opportunity to participate in special projects focused on developing appropriate selling skills consistent with our corporate philosophies.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate and develop the strategy associated with achieving the revenue goals in your assigned sales territory including the development of agricultural sales in your region.
- Comprehend and utilize product features and benefits accompanied with good research skills to identify and qualify potential sales leads, initiate the sales procee and successfully promote and close sales
- Identify and contact key leads at all organizational levels and functional areas where purchasing decisions are made.

- Travel within your territory to build relationships and deliver dynamic presentations showcasing our corporate strengths and product portfolio

- Achieve or exceed the territory sales plan by maintaining existing business, developing incremental business in existing accounts, and prospecting and developing relationships with new customers.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of account engagements using the Company's customer relationship management software.
- Utilize multiple data sources to analyze and develop sales opportunities.
- Communicate key competitive activities, market trends, and changing customer development plans and priorities.
- Other duties deemed appropriate for an Account Manager.
Education Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences, Agriculture or Livestock Genetics, Animal Biology or similar area of study preferred; or college diploma in Veterinary Sciences; or equivalent combination of relevant job experience and training would be considered
Experience and Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of genetics.
- Hands-on experience with livestock, cattle, swine and/or sheep.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts and influence potential buyers.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage the sales process across multiple account engagements.

This is a contract position that is required to support key Marketing projects and deliverables. You will assist the Programs Marketing Manager in all marketing related activities including market research, events, campaigns and other support opportunities. You will work across the Marketing function in a team environment to help achieve the organizations operational priorities.
Responsibilities will include:
- Have the opportunity to develop and execute direct mail and email campaigns.
- Utilize your strong analytical skills and thoroughness to track metrics for various marketing/sales programs.
- Work with the Programs Marketing Manager and team members to develop marketing collateral and other materials.
- Occasionally assist with website optimization as well as Public Relations initiatives.

The successful candidate will assume responsibilities for research activities directed towards the introduction of future products to meet new market opportunities. You will join an existing strong Research and Development scientific team and will be given the opportunity to grow and develop your career.
Responsibilities will include:
- Designing and executing laboratory experiments, including providing guidance to Lab Technologists.
- Performing hands-on experiments.
- Participating in a wide range of scientific discussions.
- Making presentations to scientific staff and management.

Experience and Other Requirements:
- Prior experience in an industry setting an asset but not essential.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving and scientific abilities
- Experience in nucleic acid biochemistry or infectious diseases an asset.
- A keen interest in science, particularly in the development of scientific methodologies
- Strong academic standing and record of scientific publications
